Harwich Port Sea Captain’s Home
At The Mooring, an antique sea captain’s home on Main Street in Harwich Port which was renovated and turned into a rental property, we designed the landscape, both the plantings and hardscaping, so that it’s in keeping with the vintage property. For the permanent elements we went with fencing which complements, rather than replicates, the porch railings, and brick walkways and patios, and granite steps. The plantings include pink Cape Cod roses, lavender, dwarf boxwood and hydrangeas. Because it’s a commercial property we used a combination of loose stone and granite pavers in the driveway to create defined parking spots yet still complement the overall look of the property.
